Carla Heiney and Bromley Palamountain

Among her many accomplishments, Carla Heiney has choreographed for the Fox television show So You Think You Can Dance. She has worked with artists as diverse as Aretha Franklin, Jeff Tyzik and B.B. King; danced at Carnegie Hall; and appeared on Discovery Channel’s Time Warp and in the feature films The Polar Express and Love and Dancing.
Among Heiney’s competition titles are these: 2009 International Lindy Hop Champion, 2008 Camp Jitterbug Champion, 2007 National Jitterbug Champion, 2007 American Lindy Hop Champion and 2006 U.S. Open Showcase Champion. She also won the U.S. Open Lindy Showcase division in 2001, 2002 and 2004 and the U.S. Open Strictly Lindy division in 2003. She is a six-time American Lindy Hop Champion and the 2005 World Lindy Hop Champion in the Improvisational division.
Bromley Palamountain entered the competitive dance world by way of gymnastics. He trained under Olympic gold medalist Tim Daggett and competed at the collegiate level for men’s gymnastics team at the University of California in Berkeley. Palamountain also served as Carle Heiney’s assistant choreographer for the sixth season of So You Think You Can Dance.
