The Las Vegas-based vocal group Spectrum makes its Oregon Symphony debut at these concerts. The ensemble boasts four incredible singers – each with the voice of a solo artist – who combine their voices and dexterity to create the harmonies and choreography that have become Spectrum’s trademarks.
The members of Spectrum are recording artist Darryl Grant, from Oakland, CA; Pierre Jovan of Chicago; David Prescott, the soaring-voiced first tenor from Rochester, NY; and singer, actor and group founder Cushney Roberts of East Orange, NJ, who left the life of a Princeton-educated corporate engineer and cut his teeth in the casino lounges on the way to becoming a well-respected Las Vegas showroom entertainer.
Spectrum began by spending six years recreating the sound and style of the Four Tops in the Las Vegas production shows American Superstars and Legends in Concert, along the way developing the versatility to cover the music of groups from the Platters to the Temptations to Boyz 2 Men. The ensemble’s credentials, collectively and individually, include starring in no less than six major productions shows on the Las Vegas Strip and internationally, featured appearances in the film Nasty Boys, starring roles in such theatrical productions as Ma Rainey's Black Bottom and performances with artists ranging from Tony Bennett and Little Richard to Doc Severinson.
Spectrum currently performs at the Boardwalk Casino on the Las Vegas Strip, which has been their home venue for several years. More information online: spectrumsings.com
