Oregon Symphony 2013/14 Photo Contest
Win a 2013/14 Classical Series Subscription for Two!
Here is your chance to win your way into the Schnitz, and have your photo featured on the Oregon Symphony website. One grand prize winner will receive two season tickets to our 2013-14 Classical Series, and three finalists will be selected to win one pair of tickets to "The American Song" on October 20, 2013.
To enter, submit a digital photograph that you have taken using the e-mail address linked below AND answer the following question: What piece of classical music is the perfect accompaniment to your photo?
Technical quality, clarity and composition are all important, but so too is the story that you are able to tell by adding music to the image! The musical selection can include any piece of music generally considered to be "classical" and must be available for purchase or download through iTunes or Amazon Music. Judges include Music Director Carlos Kalmar, Oregon Symphony musicians and administrative staff.
Please do not submit any stock images, or photos that were taken by someone else.
The contest is open May 8 – June 6, 2013. All entries must be received by 5pm PST on Thursday, June 6, 2013. The winner will be announced on Friday, June 7, 2013.
To enter, please follow these instructions:
- Read the Contest Rules and FAQ.
- Submit your photo beginning May 8 by email to to photocontest@orsymphony.org. Photos must be 2MB or less and submitted as a .jpg or .png formatted file.
- Include the following information in your email: name, mailing address, phone number, email address and the name of your selected piece of classical music.

QUICK INFO:
- Photos should be 2MB or less, and submitted as a .jpg or .png file.
- Music Director Carlos Kalmar, Oregon Symphony musicians and administrative staff will review and select the top three finalists, and the grand prize winner.
- The grand prize winner will receive two subscription packages to their choice of the 2013-14 Classical A or B series (7 concerts) or C series (5 concerts).
- The top three finalists will receive one pair of tickets to "The American Song" on October 20, 2013. The winning photo and finalist photos may also be used on the Oregon Symphony website and social
media sites throughout the 2013-14 season.
