2015/16 Symphony Storytimes

Each one-hour Symphony Storytime features a musician from one of the four families of musical instruments – strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion – bringing picture books to life with music! Children and their parents experience a live collaboration between the library reader and an Oregon Symphony musician four times in a month at each location. Musicians play short selections and talk a little about their instrument; after the stories are read aloud, audience members can try out each instrument!

Symphony Storytimes are free and open to the public, but space is limited. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis; early arrival is recommended. This program is best appreciated by children between the ages of 2-5.
