BILL COSBY TO PERFORM AT OREGON SYMPHONY FUNDRAISER, "FOR THE KIDS"
____________________________________________________________________________________

Portland, Ore. … A performance by comic legend Bill Cosby will highlight "For the Kids," an Oregon Symphony fundraiser benefiting the Symphony's Education & Community Programs Sunday, April 14, at the downtown Portland Hilton's Grand Ballroom (921 SW Sixth Ave.). A patron reception will begin at 5 p.m., followed by dinner at 6 p.m. and Cosby's performance at 7:30 p.m. "For the Kids" is sponsored by ODS Health Plans. Media support is provided by The Business Journal.

The money raised during the evening will benefit the Symphony's Education & Community Programs, which include KinderKonzerts, age-specific Youth Concerts, instrument petting zoos, the annual Meyer Memorial Trust/NEA Regional Tour, neighborhood festivals and the Waterfront Concert every summer. Through its education and community programs, the Symphony partners with community organizations, libraries, schools and hospitals in bringing Symphony musicians to children and adults throughout the state.

Businesses are being asked to join the Symphony as Corporate Colleagues and take a leading role in ensuring that arts and music education thrive and grow. Three levels of Corporate Colleague Recognition are available at "For the Kids": Platinum ($10,000), Gold ($5000) and Silver ($2500). Businesses purchasing a Platinum table will attend a private reception before the show, meet Cosby and have their picture taken with him. Businesses purchasing Gold ($5000) and Silver ($2500) tables will also attend a reception before the dinner and show. All Corporate Colleagues receive recognition in upcoming Symphony literature.

Individual tickets to the event are also available at the Gold and Silver levels. Individual ticket prices are $500 for a Gold Level seat and $250 for a Silver Level seat and include the reception and dinner before the show and Cosby's performance.
