FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Portland, Ore. … Custom-designed subscription packages for the Oregon Symphony’s 2004-05 concert season will be available for purchase in a first-time-ever online offer for one week only, from 5 p.m. Aug. 6 through 5 p.m. Aug. 13, exclusively through the Symphony’s website at www.orsymphony.org. “With this new offer, people have the opportunity to create their own subscription package,” says Holly Kellar, Director of Marketing for Season Development.
In addition to their own individually chosen subscription series, people who take advantage of this online ticket offer will also be able to buy single tickets to Special Concerts, including world-renowned violinist Itzhak Perlman in recital, at the discounted price available only to subscribers, and before single tickets go on sale to the general public on Aug. 16.
Symphony subscribers who buy their subscription packages online can choose three or more concerts from any performances in the Classical, Front Row Center or Pops series, with all tickets priced at a flat rate of $35. This flat rate guarantees them the best available seating in the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, and could allow them to purchase seats that normally sell for up to twice that amount. “This is a new chance for potential subscribers to sample the wide range of concerts in the different Symphony series. It offers great flexibility at a good price for someone who isn’t quite ready or able to purchase a full subscription,” says Kellar. “Since this offer is only available on the website, it accommodates subscribers’ need to shop according to their own schedule; they can order tickets 24 hours a day while the offer lasts.”
