Portland, Ore. …Three meddlesome spirits—Music, Noise and Silence—invade the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall as Magic Circle Mime Company joins Resident Conductor Gregory Vajda and the Oregon Symphony to present “Music, Noise and Silence,” the first Kids Concert of the 2006-07 season, on Sunday, Nov. 19 at 1 and 3 p.m.
Vajda will lead the Symphony in Felix Mendelssohn’s "Dance of the Clowns" and “Wedding March” from A Midsummer Night's Dream; Johann Sebastian Bach’s Fugue in G minor, "Little,” among others.
Magic Circle Mime Company’s unique productions merge theater with orchestra performances in imaginative, entertaining and educational ways. Their most recent appearance with the Symphony, in November of 2005, featured “The Mozart Experience.” Magic Circle Mime Company has appeared with orchestras across North America and has also recently performed with orchestras in Malaysia and Australia.
Tickets range from $6 to $38 and may be purchased at the Oregon Symphony Ticket Office, located at 923 S.W. Washington.
