Patrons of Note
Patrons of Note is a group of concert goers and music enthusiasts who enjoy learning about music and musicians in a relaxed afternoon setting prior to an Oregon Symphony classical or pops concert. Often Oregon Symphony musicians are the featured guests who give insight into preparing for a concert, for instance, or share the ‘real’ life of a symphony musician. In addition, there is always a special short recital by the featured guest musician. Some programs have featured the winner of our Wiscarson Young Musicians’ Competition, or Willamette University Music Department faculty. They never fail to entertain and inform.
Membership dues for Patrons of Note of $35 per person or $60 per couple provide the monetary award for our Music Educator of the Year (make this a link to pop over to Music Ed.). The meeting attendance is by invitation sent for each meeting to all paid members. The Patrons of Note meetings are open to the general public and we welcome your membership.
