Oregon Symphony Video
In 2016, the Oregon Symphony and Intel joined forces in a unique partnership. Oregon Symphony musicians worked with engineers from Intel on wearable technology that allows for music to be made with simple body movements. These wireless devices take the form of wristbands, anklebands and even gloves and trigger sounds by simple body movements. Along the way, musicians provided feedback on device design and functionality and also sparked the creation of two new works. One of these works featured in this video debuted on a community concert at Nordia House in Fall of 2016 featuring Artist-in-Residence, Colin Currie and percussionists of the Oregon Symphony.
