(PORTLAND, Ore.) – Oregon Symphony Presents has added another concert to its already record-setting 2016/17 season. Announced separately from Classical, Pops, and Kids subscription concerts, Oregon Symphony Presents’ slate of Special Concerts spans the entertainment spectrum to satisfy the region’s wide-ranging musical tastes. This concert brings the total number of Oregon Symphony performances in the 2016/17 Season to 93: 48 Classical; 8 Pops; 3 Kids; and 34 Special concerts.

Ukulele superstar Jake Shimabukuro, who shot to international fame with his virtuosic covers of “While my Guitar Gently Weeps” and “Bohemian Rhapsody,” joins the Oregon Symphony to perform his many fan favorites plus some of his own electrifying originals for ukulele and orchestra.
