Jesse Fischer

Principal Bass

Jesse Fischer, from Boulder, Colorado, is a graduate of Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music where he studied with Paul Ellison. Previously, he attended the University of Colorado Boulder as a student of Paul Erhard. He is a former member of the Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra and has performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra, Houston Symphony, and the Colorado Symphony Orchestra. Jesse was awarded the 2nd prize and “best performance of the commissioned piece” at the 2019 International Society of Bassists Solo Competition. He joins the Oregon Symphony as Principal Bass in the fall of 2022.
