For Educators

Thousands of students each year benefit from immersive musical experiences with the Oregon Symphony, from in-school performances to field trips, master classes, and more. Our affordable programs integrate into your classroom curriculum and inspire students to continue learning and exploring music throughout their lives.

Currently we are offering the school day Young People’s and Carnegie Hall Link Up Concerts virtually, allowing for even more accessibility.  Ever-changing health & safety guidelines have been a determining factor in our ability to perform for this age group inside the concert hall. We will keep teachers and parents informed via email communications and on our website, as to the online concerts we will offer this school year. These will be made free and available to all. Signing up for our enewsletter and notifications is the best way to stay in touch. Sign up here.

Be sure to visit your Oregon Symphony’s Symphony Storytime Page and Resources Page.  You will also find curricular connections from our partners at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute for educational guides and activities that are free and available for all at Resources and Music Educators Toolbox.

Link Up Concerts

Participants in this year’s Link Up curriculum will be playing and singing along in their classrooms as they enjoy a lively, pre-recorded concert on “The Orchestra Sings” in this nationwide/international collaboration with Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute.

Young People’s Concerts

The Oregon Symphony orchestra will perform and record for viewing a Latin music-themed program that will connect music to the world around them and an introduction to orchestral repertoire influenced by great Latin American composers. These will be made available in four 20-minute episodes.
