For Educators

Thousands of students each year benefit from immersive musical experiences with the Oregon Symphony, from in-school performances to field trips, master classes, and more. Our affordable programs integrate into your classroom curriculum and inspire students to continue learning and exploring music throughout their lives.

As the CDC and the schools announce plans for gatherings in the concert hall and in schools for the 2020/21 school year, we will provide more information about youth concert offerings. In the meantime, visit our Resources Page and the Resources and Music Educators Toolbox from our partners at Carnegie Hall for educational guides and activities that are free and available for all.

Give your students in grades K–2 an up-close musical experience with these entertaining, educational programs hosted by three Portland-area schools.

Link Up Concerts

Join thousands of students in grades 3–5 as they play along with the Symphony in this nationwide collaboration with Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute.

The 2021 Link Up concert, The Orchestra Sings, will take place on April 29 & 30, 2021.

Young People’s Concerts

Bring your kids in grades 3–8 to the concert hall as the Oregon Symphony orchestra performs a concert that connects music to their education and the world around them.

The 2021 Young People’s Concert, Music That’s Out of This World, will take place on February 18, 2021.
