The Virtual Gala is free and open to the public. Whether or not you were planning on attending Spring Serenade, stand with us now: invest in our musicians, bring renowned soloists to our stage, provide music education for children and adults, and share the joy of music with those in need. We need your generosity now more than ever in this difficult time.
I’ve been privileged as a musician to play with many fine orchestras, in many cities. But the Oregon Symphony is a truly special orchestra, and Portland is a special place. What makes it so special? The high level of musicianship – this orchestra can PLAY. The innovative programming, and diversity of programs. The spectacular soloists and conductors we get to work with. The sense of community that the musicians not only have with each other, but what we do outside the orchestra.
We teach, play chamber music, do community outreach with unique programs like Symphony Storytime, where we perform in libraries, and Music Now, where we work with music therapists.
This is a great organization to work for and a great community to be a part of, which is why we need your support more than ever in these challenging times.
Please consider donating to your Oregon Symphony today to ensure that we can continue to make world class music and be a part of the cultural fabric of Oregon for future generations.
If you have ticket(s) to attend the Gala, please consider rolling your ticket/table purchase over into a fully tax-deductible donation. Members of the staff will be reaching out to you, or you can contact Leslie Simmons, director of events, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
