Carlos Kalmar, conductor
Mahler: Symphony No. 7
Capping the season with a triumphant Mahler symphony has become Oregon’s favorite sendoff to summer. Mahler’s “Song of the Night” is guaranteed to leave you on a rousing note, as day overtakes night in the astonishingly exuberant final movement.
Rehearsals last 2.5 hours, including a 15-minute break. Accompanied children ages 7+ are welcome, but all attendees are kindly asked to remain quietly in their seats until the scheduled break. Recording devices and photography are prohibited.
Oregon Symphony donors contributing $100 or more will be mailed donor rehearsal passes admitting one person, valid through the expiration date pre-printed on the pass.
Broadway Street doors to the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall open 30 minutes before each rehearsal begins.
All seating is general admission and on the main floor only.
