Volunteering with the Oregon Symphony places you on the ground level of our work to bring music into our community. Oregon Symphony volunteers are welcome “extra hands” in the office and at events, act as ambassadors for our programs, and, above all, are advocates for arts education. Volunteer opportunities include:

• Helping with mailings and other administrative projects
• Staffing events as greeters or information guides
• Visiting classrooms before our Youth Concerts to teach students about music and active listening
• Connecting the Symphony with local schools and encouraging teachers and principals to take advantage of our educational opportunities
• Serving as an usher at Kinderkonzerts at Portland-area schools
• Assisting with Symphony Storytimes at local libraries

Parties of Note

Supporting your Symphony is a blast when you join us for Parties of Note, a series of concerts held at beautiful homes across Portland. Featuring performances by Oregon Symphony musicians – not to mention delicious food and drinks – these volunteer-driven parties offer a chance to enjoy lovely music and get to know our musicians in an intimate setting.
