Volunteer

Volunteering with the Oregon Symphony places you on the ground level of our work to bring music into our community. Oregon Symphony volunteers are welcome “extra hands” in the office and at events, act as ambassadors for our programs, and, above all, are advocates for arts education. Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Helping with mailings and other administrative projects
  • Staffing events as greeters or information guides
  • Visiting classrooms before our Youth Concerts to teach students about music and active listening
  • Connecting the Symphony with local schools and encouraging teachers and principals to take advantage of our educational opportunities
  • Serving as an usher at Kinderkonzerts at Portland-area schools
  • Assisting with Symphony Storytimes at local libraries

Volunteer Organizations

The Oregon Symphony gratefully acknowledges the work of the volunteer organizations who give their time and talent to support our work on the stage and in the community. Please join us in thanking them for their commitment! Some of these organizations also actively seek new members.
