Sibelius’ Fifth Symphony

Program update: Due to illness, Francesco Piemontesi has had to withdraw from these performances. We wish him a speedy recovery, and welcome Barry Douglas to the Oregon Symphony to perform Beethoven’s Third Piano Concerto.

Widely considered Sibelius’ finest symphony, this stunning music showcases the composer’s affinity for nature, particularly the famous horn theme inspired by a flock of flying swans. Classical Series Concert
