Aidan Ip

Aidan Ip has been a violinist with the Oregon Symphony since the 2025-26 season. Prior to his appointment at the Oregon Symphony, Aidan served as assistant principal second violin at the Cape Symphony in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. 

A passionate chamber musician, Aidan has been coached by members of acclaimed ensembles including the Emerson, Pacifica, Tokyo, Takács, and Vermeer quartets. He has also performed in masterclasses for prominent violinists including James Ehnes, Jennifer Koh, Vadim Repin, and Nathan Cole. In 2023, he made his Carnegie Hall debut performing solo works by Bach and Ysaÿe. 

Aidan holds a Bachelor’s from the University of Michigan, and a Master's from New England Conservatory. His previous mentors include Danielle Belen and Ayano Ninomiya.
